Drop IE6 Support?

It was announced by microsoft that on Febuary 12, they would push an update that would replace all old IE installations with IE7. So now I'm pondering dropping IE6 support. I don't know how many businesses are still using windows 2000, or if it's even still supported by MS. I suppose we're going to have to see how some other projects will handle things. I'm going to keep a close eye on if YUI's definition of a grade-A browser changes as well.

Sounds Good

Yeah SP3 will update IE6 to version 7 but there is no indication of how well the migration will work. Microsoft is still providing support for Windows 2K but Windows 2K is pretty much only used in high security/server implementations and XP is now more prominent in the general consumer base. It wouldn't be too difficult to drop IE6 support but it wouldn't solve much, IE7 is littered with many of the same rendering issues that hindered IE6, we can't really expect solid support until version 8.
